     Complementary components of any instrument are critical to its overall operation. The ultrapure water machine adopts the components of precision filter, activated carbon filter, reverse osmosis membrane and purification tower. They all have their own functions and ensure the normal operation of the instrument as a whole. Therefore, when using the ultrapure water machine, you should also pay attention to the maintenance of these supporting parts. Let's talk about it in detail.

1. Precision filter element

Precision filter, also known as filter, mainly filters large particles such as sediment in water, and its filtration accuracy is 5 microns, 1 micron, etc. The new filter is white. If the surface has been deposited for a long time, it will appear brown. Indicates that the filter cannot be used. After cleaning the dirt on the surface with tap water, you can continue to use it for 1-2 weeks, but it cannot be used for a long time. Some filter elements in the filter bottle are transparent, and you can directly see the color change of the filter element. However, some filter bottles are not transparent, so you need to open them to observe the change of the filter element. From the statistics of empirical data, the use period of accurate filters is generally 3 months to 6 months. If there is more sediment in the water, the lifespan will be shortened, and if there is less sediment, the lifespan will be longer.

2. Activated carbon filter

It can mainly remove odor and organic matter in water. The residual chlorine in the water has an oxidizing effect on the reverse osmosis membrane, so it is necessary to remove it by activated carbon. There is no visible change on the surface of the activated carbon filter element. As a rule of thumb, it usually reaches saturation adsorption in about a year or so and needs to be replaced.

3. Reverse osmosis membrane

The reverse osmosis membrane plays a very important role in the ultrapure water machine. Its diameter is small. So at the time of use, if microscopic substances of bacteria are usually deposited on the surface, usually each manufacturer's water purifier has a backwash function. Wash away contaminants. Water consumption can wash 3-5 times in 10L/day. If it exceeds 10 liters, it can be washed several times. If it is not used for a long time, it needs to be taken out and placed in a disinfectant to prevent bacterial growth. But this process is cumbersome. So it is recommended to open it often with a small amount of water to allow the inside of the machine even if it is not in use. The water forms a cycle, shortening the deposition time. The life of a reverse osmosis membrane is 2-3 years, depending on the amount of water used. Therefore, it is necessary to select matching specifications when selecting.

4. Purification column

The purification column is also known as the ultrapure column. Its function is to perform deep seawater desalination for reverse osmosis pure water to the level of primary water or ultrapure water. The principle is ion exchange. The lifetime of the purification column is expressed as in-line resistivity. Below a specific resistance means that the purification column is expired, which is more intuitive. In addition to the life of water resistance, the quality of the ion exchange resin filled by each manufacturer and the ion exchange resin itself is particularly important.
